You bring the compassion, we’ll help you build the skills.
Your job isn’t just a job - it’s the first step toward a meaningful healthcare career.
You might be just getting started or already thinking about what comes next. No matter where you are in your journey, St. Paul’s is here to support your growth. Many of our nurses and leaders began in entry-level roles and advanced their careers right here. As you grow, so does your impact. And we’re proud to grow with you.
Career Pathways
Not sure if healthcare is the right fit for you? That’s okay.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. Many of our team members start as Personal Care Aides (PCAs) or Care Partners to explore what it’s like to care for others in a supportive, team-centered environment. It’s a great way to gain experience, build confidence, and see if a career in nursing is right for you.
If you decide to keep going, we’ll help you take the next step. With paid training, scholarship opportunities, and tuition assistance, you can become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or even work toward your Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license while still working on our team.
Already in college for nursing? We offer flexible schedules and hands-on experience for RN students who need real-world exposure and a reliable job while pursuing their degree.
On-the-job-training
You don’t need to know everything on day one; that’s what we’re here for.
Every new hire is paired with a dedicated mentor, a go-to team member you can turn to with any questions, concerns, or challenges as you settle in.
Our training program typically lasts about three weeks, but it’s completely tailored to you. If you need extra time to feel confident, you’ll get it. If you’re ready to move forward sooner, you can progress at your own pace.
Through hands-on experience and guidance from experienced nurses and team members, you’ll develop practical skills, build confidence, and gain the expertise needed to take on new responsibilities. We’re committed to your success every step of the way.
Nurse Aide Training Program
Are you ready to begin your career in nursing? Our Nurse Aide Training Program is the perfect first step.
Offered four times a year in the spring, summer, fall, and winter, this program gives you the skills, support, and hands-on experience you need to succeed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
You'll learn in the classroom, practice in the lab, and gain real-world experience with our residents during clinicals. Training is paid and if you complete the program successfully, you could be offered a position at St. Paul’s.
We keep class sizes small with just 10 students so you get the personalized attention and mentorship you deserve. You’ll build confidence, learn from experienced healthcare professionals, and form lasting connections with the people you care for. This is more than training. It’s the start of a meaningful, lasting career in nursing.
LPN Scholarship
Are you ready to take the next big step in your nursing career? We offer a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Tuition Assistance Program designed to help you grow without the financial burden.
If you’ve been part of our team for at least six months, you can apply for up to $10,000 in loan repayment to support your LPN education.
After you complete your schooling and step into your new LPN role at St. Paul’s, we’ll begin making monthly loan payments directly to your lender for every month you work with us—up to 36 months. It’s our way of investing in your future, because when you grow, our whole community benefits.
High School Career Class Tours
Exploring a future in healthcare starts with seeing it in action. We welcome high school classes to tour our community and get a real-world look at what it’s like to work in senior care.
During these visits, students meet with team members across departments like Nursing, Life Enrichment, Maintenance, I.T. and more. They’ll hear firsthand what a day on the job looks like, learn about career paths, and see how meaningful and rewarding this work can be.
To set up a tour contact our Recruitment Specialist at 724-589-4705 or email pstewart@sp1867.org.
Shadowing & Internship Opportunities
Curious about a career in healthcare or senior services? We’re always happy to open our doors to students, job seekers, or anyone exploring the field.
We offer flexible shadowing and internship opportunities across all departments. You’ll get a real-world look at what it’s like to work in a caring, team-focused environment where every role makes a difference.
We do our best to accommodate anyone with an interest, so if you're eager to learn, we’re eager to have you.
