Getting Started

How do I apply?

You can view and apply for open positions directly on our website here or through our job listings on Indeed. Once you find a role you’re interested in, click “Apply” and submit your application. If you need help applying, our HR team is happy to assist.

Can I shadow or intern before committing to a healthcare career?

Yes! We welcome individuals who want to explore the field. We try to accommodate all shadowing and internship requests and are happy to help you find the right fit.

Can I work in healthcare while going to school?

Absolutely. Many of our team members are students. We offer flexible schedules, and roles like PCA or Care Partner can be a great way to gain experience and earn an income while going to school.

Do I need experience to work in healthcare?

Not necessarily. Many of our roles are perfect for those new to healthcare. We provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and entry-level positions that help you gain experience while you work.

What qualifications are required for each position?

  • RN: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing and active RN license.
  • LPN: Active PA certification, CPR
  • CNA: Active PA certification
  • PCA/Universal: High school diploma or GED
  • Care Partner/Companion: High School Diploma or GED and a Valid Driver’s License

While prior experience is preferred, it is not required. On-the-job training is provided. 

Other positions like Housekeeping or Dietary Aide require a strong work ethic and a team mindset.

What kind of training or certification will I need?

We provide on-the-job training for many roles. For nursing roles, certification through an accredited program is required, which we can help support through our Nurse Aide Training Program and tuition assistance for LPNs.

What’s the difference between a Companion, Care Partner, PCA, LPN, RN, and Care Partner?

  • Companion:  Provides one-on-one social support and light assistance in the client’s home. No certification is required. This role is ideal for those who enjoy building relationships and offering companionship in a home-based setting.
  • Care Partner: Offers one-on-one personal care in the client’s home, assisting with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and meals. Certification is not required, but experience is helpful. This is a great entry point for those exploring a healthcare career.
  • PCA (Personal Care Aide): Assists residents with non-medical daily tasks like grooming and meals. No certification required. Can get certified to administer medications
  • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant): Provides hands-on care like taking vitals and assisting with mobility. Requires certification. Works in skilled nursing environment helping with activities of daily living.
  • LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse): Delivers basic nursing care, administers medication, and works under an RN supervisor. Requires a practical nursing license.
  • RN (Registered Nurse): Manages care plans, supervises staff, and provides medical treatment. Requires a nursing degree and license.

Interview and Onboarding

What is the onboarding process like?

Once your application is reviewed, qualified candidates are contacted by our HR Specialist to schedule an interview with the department supervisor or administrator. If you're a good fit, you'll move forward in the hiring process and begin onboarding. Please note: missing a scheduled interview without notice may impact your chances of being considered again in the future.

How long does the interview process take?

The interview typically lasts between 30 and 60 minutes. Before your interview, you'll need to complete an application and provide information for a Pennsylvania state record check along with three references.

Pay, Benefits, Scheduling, & Work-life Balance

What are the salary and benefits offered?

We offer competitive wages based on current market rates, along with a full range of benefits for qualifying employees. This includes health, dental, and vision coverage, a 403(b) retirement plan, and additional perks like attendance bonuses ranging from $750 to $3,000 per year. Licensed staff may also be eligible for stay bonuses between $1,500 and $8,000. All employees can take advantage of our $1,000 referral bonus program. What are the work hours and schedule?

We offer a variety of full-time, part-time, and casual positions. Shifts include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnights—plus weekend and holiday rotations depending on the role. 

  • Part-time employees are required to work a minimum of 2 weekends a month.
  • Per Diem options require a minimum of 1 to 3 shifts per month. 

Full-time positions follow a consistent schedule. Multiple options are available, including: 8-12-hour shifts, Weekend Warriors, and Monday-Friday opportunities.

How do you support work-life balance?

We offer flexible scheduling, paid time off to all eligible team members, and an understanding team environment. We do our best to accommodate school, family, and other responsibilities outside of work. 

We also maintain staffing ratios that exceed state requirements and offer a variety of shift lengths ranging from 7.5 to 11.5 hours per day, so you can feel supported both on the job and at home.

Career Pathways & Growth

How do I become a Certified Nursing Assistant?

You can start by joining our Nurse Aide Training Program, which we offer four times a year. This paid program includes classroom instruction, lab training, and clinical hours. After successful completion, you'll be eligible to test for CNA certification and apply for a CNA role with us.

How long does it take to become certified as a Nursing Assistant?

It takes about 4 weeks, or 16 days total, to complete the training and become certified as a Nursing Assistant.

How can I advance from an entry-level role to a licensed nurse?

Start as a PCA or Care Partner to gain experience. From there, you can enroll in our Nurse Aide Training Program to become a CNA. If you’re interested in becoming an LPN, we offer tuition assistance for employees with 6+ months of service. We also support RNs who are in school and need a flexible job to gain hands-on experience while completing their degree.

Are there opportunities for advancement?

Absolutely. We believe in investing in our team members. Open positions are posted internally first to give our team members the chance to explore new roles and grow within the organization. Many of our nurses and leaders started in entry-level positions and built their careers here. We also offer tuition assistance for employees who want to become LPNs, helping you take the next step when you're ready.
