What is Home-Based Services?
Home-Based Services offers personalized care and support in the comfort of your own home.
Many people prefer to stay in their homes throughout the remainder of their lives. Our goal is to provide home-based services that help people remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. St. Paul’s Home-Based Services is a private-duty home care agency licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
St. Paul's Home-Based Services provides care to clients in the place you call home. Our dedicated team is here to provide personalized care and support where you feel most comfortable. We believe quality care should come to you, no matter where home is, and we're proud to serve both our neighbors in the wider community and the residents within our own campus.
What types of Home-Based Services do you offer?
Companion Services
Assist you or your loved one with daily tasks, including:
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
- Meal preparation
- Companionship
On-the-Go Dining
Provides nutritionally-balanced meals to those who live within a five-mile radius of St. Paul’s.
Meals are delivered daily between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. are available seven days a week, including holidays.
Care Partner Services
All the benefits of companion services, plus assistance with daily living activities, including:
- Bathing or showering assistance
- Bathroom assistance
- Dressing and grooming
- Mobility assistance
Lifeline and Care Connect Technology
Offers personal help buttons for emergencies and personal medication dispensers.
- Personal Help Buttons: A wide variety of products are available. Please call our office and schedule a consultation to determine which system would work best for you.
- Personal Medication Dispensers: A verbal prompt at scheduled times reminds you to take medications at prescribed times.

Fees
Services provided are offered on an hourly “fee for service” basis and are billed monthly.
- Long-term care insurance and veterans’ benefits may cover certain services for eligible individuals.
- Note: Individuals who need extensive support hours (more than 25/month) may be required to complete a Financial Questionnaire.
- Gift Certificates are available for all services offered by St. Paul’s Home-Based Services.
