A Culture of Care

We honor the whole person, supporting not just medical needs, but emotional, spiritual, and social well-being.

We are committed to being a place where residents can truly live and thrive, surrounded by compassionate care and a community that feels like home. As care needs change, we offer a full continuum of services, including independent living, personal care, skilled nursing, and memory care, all designed to meet individuals where they are and support their continued quality of life.

Mission, Vision, and Values

Our Mission

The mission of St. Paul’s formed and sustained by the Judeo-Christian faith, and historically related to the United Church of Christ, is to provide meaning, richness of life, health care, and other support services, while maintaining and enhancing the dignity of human life.

Our Vision

To create a sense of belonging and purpose by providing a nurturing environment in a place you call home.

Our Core Values

Compassion

We practice empathy by showing consideration, kindness and selflessness to each other.

Respect

We recognize that all individuals are important and need to be treated well.

Person-Centered

We listen, learn and involve each other to improve well-being and quality of life.

Security

We create a working and living environment where all individuals feel safe, valued and protected.

Care is woven into every part of life at St. Paul’s.

Culture of Care

Care is not limited to a department or a role, it’s how we treat residents, how we support our coworkers, and how we stay connected to our community. Our culture of care is built on the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported.

Care For Our Residents

Care for Our Residents

Every person here plays a role in creating a compassionate environment. Nurses offer reassurance through moments of care. Housekeepers learn routines and anticipate needs. Dining team members remember favorite meals and stories. It’s the small things that build connection and every department has a hand in that.

Care For Our Team

Care for Our Team

We care deeply about the people who care for others. That means creating a culture of support, appreciation, and opportunity. Team members are encouraged to grow, try new roles, and build lasting careers through ongoing training and mentorship.

We celebrate hard work with events like Fun Fridays, themed parties, and staff appreciation days, led by our Appreciation Committee. Most importantly, we listen. Team input helps shape how we grow as an employer, because when our people thrive, so does our care.

Salvation Army Toy Drive

Care for Our Community

Our culture extends well beyond our walls. We partner with schools and colleges to mentor students, welcome volunteers of all ages, and run donation drives for causes like the Salvation Army, local schools, and local animal shelters.  Our leadership team is encouraged to stay actively involved, including serving on community boards and supporting local initiatives. Being part of the community means showing up, giving back, and staying engaged in meaningful ways.

Volunteers

Care for Our Volunteers & Visitors

We value every person who walks through our doors. Volunteers, students, and families are an essential part of our community, and we do our best to make everyone feel welcome, appreciated, and included

Eden Families

Eden alternative

We follow the Eden Alternative philosophy, which embraces growth, connection, and purpose throughout life. As a registered Eden Alternative Community, we focus on building meaningful relationships where residents and staff support one another as care partners.

Each neighborhood forms its own Eden Family, comprising residents, team members, and loved ones. These families gather for unique events like annual picnics with food and entertainment. Daily life is also filled with moments of joy, variety, and engagement.

This approach helps eliminate loneliness, helplessness, and boredom by creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to give, receive, and belong.
