FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I give?

Credit card - Donate online through the Community Foundation's website.

Check - Make your check payable to the Community Foundation of W PA and E OH with “St. Paul’s” in the memo line and mail to:

Community Foundation of W PA & E OH
7 West State Street, Suite 301
Sharon, PA 16146

Checks can also be dropped off at any St. Paul's reception desk or at St. Paul's Charitable Giving Office in the Keifer Building.

How do I make sure my donation is eligible for the match?

Your donation must be received by June 26 using one of the methods above. New this year - checks can be sent in earlier than June 20 as long as they are marked for "Giving Week."

Will my entire donation go to St. Paul's?

Yes! The Community Foundation doesn’t charge administrative fees. If you donate online, there’s a small credit card processing fee, but you can choose to cover it.

How much is the match?

The final match amount is determined by dividing the total matching funds available by the total donations received. Right now, there is more than $120,000 in matching funds.

Is there a limit on matching?

Yes. A single donor can give up to $25,000 maximum to one organization and qualify for matching funds.

Will St. Paul's know I gave?

Yes. Unless you give anonymously, St. Paul's will receive a report of all donors in July. You will receive a tax receipt from the Community Foundation, and St. Paul's will send a thank you once we receive the report.

What is the Good Samaritan Fund?

The Good Samaritan Fund supports benevolent care for St. Paul’s residents who exhaust their financial resources and cannot afford to pay for the cost of their care. More than half of the residents at St. Paul’s in skilled nursing care and 5% of those living in personal care depend on benevolent care. Because there is a Good Samaritan Fund, no resident is ever asked to leave St. Paul’s for financial reasons.
