Friday, January 2 - Coffee & Donuts

Stop in The Gathering Place between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. for coffee and pastries. (While supplies last)


Monday, January 5 - Men & Women's Chat Groups

The Men and Women’s Chat Groups will meet today at 10 a.m. The men will meet in The Gathering Place and the women will meet in The 19th Hole. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 2.


Wednesday, January 7 - Monthly Birthday Celebration

Join us today at 1 p.m. in The 19th Hole for the monthly Colony birthday celebration. Signups for this activity have closed.


Thursday, January 8 - Medici Art Museum

The bus will begin picking up at 10 a.m. and return around 3 p.m. While out and about today we will visit the Medici Museum of Art in Warren, OH. In addition to their house exhibit, we will also be able to enjoy From Oil to Art: A Rockefeller Legacy Rooted in Industry, Innovation, and Imagination. This ambitious, immersive exhibition traces the remarkable arc of the Rockefeller family - from its 19th century Ohio roots to its global impact in oil, politics, philanthropy, and the arts - with a deeply personal lens offered by international artist and cultural ambassador Steven C Rockefeller, Jr., great- grandson of John D. Rockefeller. This extraordinary presentation is not only a first for the region, but also a deeply personal tribute to Northeast Ohio's industry and culture. Following our time at the museum we will have lunch at Cafe 422 in Warren. There is no admission fee for the museum, but there will be a $6.35 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill and you are responsible for any purchases that you make. Friday, January 9 - Farewell to Vicki

Join us in The 19th Hole from 2 – 3 p.m. for cake and ice cream as we bid farewell to Vicki as she enters her new adventure into retirement.


Sunday, January 11 - Craft Hour in Hubbard

The bus will begin picking up at 12:00, noon for a creative day in Hubbard, Ohio. During this craft session at Extending Grace, you'll be walked through the process of using your bundle of paper scraps to create your own custom paper. You will learn tips for creating a cohesive custom paper and how to create custom paper using paper scraps, decoupage medium, silicone mats and topcoats. Supplies will be provided, but if you have scrap tissue paper, napkins, quotes on lightweight paper you would like to include, feel free to bring them. You will leave with the knowledge of how to repeat the process to make your own custom paper, and your finished masterpiece. The bus will return to campus around 3:45 p.m. There will be $30 per person class fee and a $4.48 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill. The class fee covers supplies, refreshments and drinks. You are responsible for any purchases that you make. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 9.

Colony Open Forum will take place in The 19th Hole at 3 p.m.


Thursday, January 15 - Resident Presentation

Resident Presentation: “Godly Play”

At 2 p.m. in The 19th Hole. Lyn Cepris presents on the transformation of an ordinary space into a special worship environment for children. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 9.


Thursday, January 15 - Dinner Out

Join us for a delicious dinner out at Candywood Wine Cellar in Vienna, OH. The bus will begin picking up at 3:45 p.m. and return around 7 p.m. There will be a $6.06 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill and you are responsible for any purchases that you make. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 9.


Sunday, January 18 - Soup on Sunday

Join your neighbors for Soup on Sunday. At 12:30 p.m. in The 19th Hole, Pasta Fagioli Soup, crackers and a sweet bite will be available. This is not a potluck, but if you would like to bring a prepared dish to share you may, but it is not required. There is no fee for this activity, but a donation jar will be put out. My goal is for this to be a simple self-service after church gathering. In addition to the food paper products and water will be available. I am looking for a few volunteers to help with set-up and clean up. If you are interested in volunteering, please see Mariah. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 16. A minimum of 10 residents is required.


Tuesday, January 20 - Craft Hour

Join us at 2 p.m. for a craft hour in The Keifer craft room. Each participant will make a dried flower resin bookmark. The cost is $7 per person and will go on your monthly bill. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 16.


Friday, January 23 - Pie Day

Today is National Pie Day...so let's go get some pie. We will start out day with lunch at Russell's BBQ followed by visiting some of Linesville's best shops (Vorisek's Backyard Bee Farm store, Needle and Thread, and Blossoms and Blooms Boutique.) Following our shopping we will stop at Twin Pies for a delicious piece of pie and maybe even some to bring home. There will be a $3.85 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill and you are responsible for any purchases that you make. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 16.


Tuesday, January 27 - Potluck Lunch

Gather with your neighbors at noon for a potluck lunch in The 19th Hole. Italian sausage and peppers (not spicy,) drinks and paper products will be provided. Please sign up to bring a dish to share. Residents 90 years and older are not asked to prepare a dish. The cost per person is $3 and will go on your monthly bill. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 23.


Thursday, January 29 - Breakfast Out

The bus will begin picking up today at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast out at Traveler's Cafe in Saegertown. There will be a $5.64 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill and you are responsible for any purchases that you make. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 23.


Friday, January 29 - Hot Cocoa Day

Stop in The Keifer Building Welcome Center between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a delicious cup of hot chocolate.

Friday, February 6 - Art in Franklin

Join us for an evening in Franklin, PA. The Council on Greenways and Trails is excited to announce our upcoming Nature Art Showcase and Sale, held at the Barrow Civic Theatre. This celebration of nature through art explores how local artists are inspired by our outdoors and how those assets shape this region - not just what we see, but how we live, work and play. Come see and even purchase a unique piece, from stunning landscapes to intricate wildlife portraits to woodworking or jewelry or more. Prior to our time at the art show we will have an early dinner at Trails to Ales Brewery. The bus will begin picking up at 2:30 p.m. and return around 6:30 p.m. There will be a $6.27 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill and you are responsible for any purchases that you make. Sunday, February 8 - Little Women at The Academy Theatre

Join us today for Little Women at The Academy Theatre in Meadville. The bus will begin picking up at 12:45 p.m. There will be a $4.60 per person transportation fee and a $25 per person ticket fee on your monthly bill. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 30.


Tuesday, February 10 - Casino Day

We will be hitting up the casino today, but what casino, I don't know. As we get closer to the date, I will put out a notice on whether or not we will go to The Youngstown or the Erie casino. This decision will be based on weather. There will be a corresponding transportation fee that applies.


Wednesday, February 11 - Bake with Your Heart

More information will be coming soon about our Bake with your Heart activity.


Friday, February 13 - Pizza Lunch

Join us today at 12:00, noon for a pizza and trivia lunch. There will be a variety of pizzas, salad, dessert and beverages. A $5 per person fee will go on your monthly bill. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, February 6. You will not be required to participate in the trivia, but it will be fun.


Saturday, February 21 - Greenville Symphony Concert

You don't want to miss the Greenville Symphony Orchestra's Winter Concert. The concert title is Symphonic Flames and Fiestas: Passion and Dance. The bus will begin picking up at 2 p.m. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, February 13.


Thursday, February 26 - Resident Presentation

Resident Presentation: "Native American Culture of Eastern United States"

At 2 p.m. in The 19th Hole by Bob Olson

The presentation will begin with a brief, general overview of cultures east of the Mississippi River. The focus will be an examination of two groups in particular: The Iroquois of the Northeast and the so called Five Civilized Tribes of the Southeast. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, February 20.
