Wednesday, December 10 - Colony Service Project
Men from The Colony Woodworking Shop have completed two looms and we are now ready to start making plastic bag bed mats for the homeless. A workshop demonstrating how to use the loom will be held at 10 a.m. today in The 19th Hole. All, man and women, who are interested in learning how to make the mats (IT IS EASY) are invited to attend. No sign up necessary.
Friday, December 12 - ACTS Theatre
Our very own Dawn Hartman, will be back on stage staring in an adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol at ACTS Performing Arts Center in Sharon. Prior to the show we will have dinner out. At this time, I am planning to take the group to the new Tavalo 234 opening up on East State Street. If that doesn’t pan out, we will have dinner at Hickory Bar & Grille. The bus will begin picking up at 4:30 p.m. and return around 9:30 p.m. There will be a $27.50 per person ticket fee and a $3.49 per person transportation fee added to your monthly bill. You are responsible for any purchases that you make. Sign ups for this activity have ended.
Sunday, December 14 - Soup on Sunday
Join your neighbors for Soup on Sunday. At 12:30 p.m. in The 19th Hole, soup, crackers and a sweet bite will be available. This activity is not a potluck, but if you would like to bring a prepared dish to share you may, but it is not required. There is no fee for this activity, but there will be a donation jar. My goal is for this to be a simple self-serve after church gathering. In addition to the food, paper products and water will be available. I am looking for a few volunteers to help with set-up and clean up. If you are interested in volunteering please see Mariah. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, December 5. A MINIMUM OF 10 RESIDENTS IS REQUIRED.
Tuesday, December 16 - Keifer Christmas Fun Day
You DONUT know how much fun you’re missing at our Annual Keifer Christmas Fun Day until you show up and find out. At 10 a.m. in The 19th Hole there will be food, music, games and laughter. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, December 12.
Thursday, December 18 - Colony Christmas Dinner & Service
The Colony Christmas Service is in The 19th Hole at 4 p.m. The bus for dinner leaves at 5 p.m. If you aren’t attending dinner, we’d love for you to consider joining us for the service.
Saturday, December 20 - Greenville Symphony Concert
The bus will begin picking up at 2 p.m. for Greenville Symphony Orchestra’s holiday concert, “Home Alone & Holiday Hits.” The bus will return to campus immediately following the concert. The bus is full at this time.
There will be a $3 per person transportation fee added to your monthly bill. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, December 12 to be put on a waiting list.
Sunday, December 21 - Blue Christmas
Residents are invited to attend today’s special Sunday Blue Christmas Service. The Heritage Service takes place at 9 a.m. in Anderson Fellowship Hall, The Villas Service is at 10 a.m. in Headland Friendship Commons and The Ridgewood Service is at 11 a.m. in Harmony Hall.
Wednesday, December 24 - Christmas Eve Service
Colony residents are invited to attend any of the Christmas Eve Services of Lessons and Carols across campus. Each service will last about 45 minutes. The Heritage Service is in Anderson Fellowship Hall is at 9 a.m., The Villas Service is in Headland Friendship Commons at 10 a.m. and The Ridgewood Service is in Harmony Hall at 11 a.m.
Thursday, December 25 - Christmas Day Service
The Colony Christmas Service of Lessons and Carol (recorded during the December 18 service) will be streamed on channel 1851. Merry Christmas!
Saturday, December 27 - Christmas in Kirtland, OH
Join us today as we wrap up the 2025 holiday season with a festive trip to Kirtland, OH. Each year, hundreds of exquisite Nativity displays bring the spirit of the season to life at Historic Kirtland, drawing visitors from across Ohio and beyond. This year, the collection will also be showcased at the Kirtland Temple Visitors’ Center.
Crafted from a stunning variety of materials—including traditional fabrics, glass, porcelain, jewels, hand-carved wood, clay, and more—these Nativities reflect the beauty and diversity of cultures around the world. You and your family are invited to join us as we experience the peaceful reverence and artistic wonder of the season. On our way home, we will have lunch at The Brown Dog Tavern. The bus will begin picking up at 9:30 a.m. and return around 3 p.m. This is over an hour drive one way. There will be a $12.03 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill and you are responsible for any purchases that you make. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, December 12. Tuesday, December 30 - Bingo
Join us at 10 a.m. for Ladies and Gents Bingo. Landry will be hosting this fun event in The 19th Hole. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, December 26.
Wednesday, December 31 - NYE Resident Led Potluck
There will be a resident led potluck dinner this evening in The 19th Hole at 4:30 p.m. Paper products and water will be provided. Come and celebrate the new year with your neighbors! Sign up online if you plan on attending.

Monday, January 5 - Men & Women's Chat Groups
The Men and Women’s Chat Groups will meet today at 10 a.m. The men will meet in The Gathering Place and the women will meet in The 19th Hole. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, January 2.
