Colony Activities - July 2025


Monday, July 21 - Campus Tour

The bus will pick up at 10 a.m. in The KEIFER PARKING LOT and take residents on a tour of campus. The tour will consist of The Ridgewood, The Heritage and The Villas. Throughout the tour you will be introduced to key staff such as administrators, director of volunteer services, accounting, fitness staff and more. You will return to The Keifer parking lot after the tour. sign up online by NOON on Friday, July 18.


Tuesday, July 22 - Resident Presentation

Resident Presentation: "Ross Island. McMurdo Research Station. Antarctica"

Colony resident, Bill Sayles, will present at 2 p.m. in The 19th Hole. A full presentation description will be posted online.

Wednesday, July 23 - Spiritual Fieldtrip

Chaplain Pat invites you to join us for a spiritual fieldtrip. The bus will begin picking up at 9:30 a.m. and return around 2:30 p.m. Our fieldtrip is to Breath in Yoga in Meadville for a 35-40 minute sound bathing experience. Following the time at the yoga studio we will have lunch out. There will be a $10 per person fee at the studio and you are responsible for the purchase of your own lunch. There will be a $4.48 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, July 18.


Friday, July 25 - Christmas in July Bingo

Join us today for Landry's "Feeling Grinch" Christmas in July Bingo. Bingo will take place in The 19th Hole at 10 a.m. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, July 18.


Tuesday, July 29 - Tour Sippy Historic Machine Shop

Today we will visit the Sippy Historic Machine Shop in Saegertown. At the Sippy Shop you'll see an exhibition and collection of historic artifacts that reflect the origins of the tooling and machine industry and its impact on the greater Meadville area. Tours are based on a donation at your discretion. Following the tour we will have lunch at Timber Creek in Meadville. The bus will begin picking up around 10 a.m. and return around 3 p.m. You are responsible for the cost of your own lunch and there will be a $6.34 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill. Wednesday, July 30 - Walk About

Keifer staff will be doing a walk about today at 10 a.m. Be on the lookout for us and whatever kind of treat we decide to deliver.


Wednesday, July 30 - Greenville Brass Ensemble Concert

The Greenville Brass Ensemble will perform this evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Rust Colony Square Pavilion. If it is raining they will perform in The 19th Hole. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, July 25.

Friday, August 1 - Coffee & Donuts

Stop in The Gathering Place between 9 and 11 a.m. for coffee and donuts. While supplies last.


Friday, August 1 - Water Fun

Water, water everywhere, we're gonna get wet!

Join us at 2 p.m. in Rust Colony Square Pavilion as we celebrate water balloon day on campus. Staff and residents will compete in several different water themed games. The winning team will go home the driest and maybe win a prize. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, July 25. When signing up be sure to specify in the "special instructions" section whether or not you will participate of watch.


Monday, August 4 - Chat Groups

Join each other at Men and Women's Chat at 10 a.m. The men will meet in The Gathering Place and the women will meet in The Library. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, August 1.


Wednesday, August 6 - Monthly Birthday Celebration

Join us to celebrate August birthdays at 1 p.m. in The 19th Hole. All residents are welcome. Sign ups for this activity have ended.


Tuesday, August 12 - Time for Ice Cream

The bus will begin picking up at 1:25 p.m. to get ice cream. We will stop at The Corral, Handel's and Ripley's Scoop Shop (serves Cockeye Creamery.) There will be a $5.24 per person transportation fee on your monthly bill and you are responsible for any purchases that you make. Sign up online by NOON on Friday, August 8.


Friday, August 15 - Laugh with a Friend

Today is Laugh with a Friend Day. You can share a joke with a friend and/or join us at 2 p.m. for a movie and popcorn. We will be showing "Thelma," one the the top rated comedies of 2024.
