PA OH Gives 2022 Results

This year's PA OH Gives "Giving Week" held in June netted $44,000 for St. Paul's Good Samaritan Fund for benevolent care.

This was the third year for this virtual giving event hosted by the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern OH to help local nonprofits like St. Paul's that have been impacted by the pandemic.

St. Paul's encouraged donors to give during PA OH Gives the week of June 18 - 24 to take advantage of the $160,000 in matching funds available to boost the impact of their gift.

"Prior to the pandemic, we hosted a Caring Hearts on Fire Gala inside The Villas every other year that raised approximately $120,000 for benevolent care. It was our biggest fundraiser," said Director of Strategic Giving Dawn Hartman. "Thanks to our donors generously supporting St. Paul's during PA OH Gives we still have the support we need for our benevolent care fund."

With 66 charities participating in PA OH Gives this year and a whopping $1.1 million raised overall, the match amount for each dollar donated was 15.24%.

During PA OH Gives, 124 donors contributed to St. Paul's, raising a total of $37,565. With the matching funds plus a special power up bonus for having the most donors of any participating charity, St. Paul's received a grand total of $44,429 for benevolent care.

"Our donors are amazing. Time and time again, they are here for the residents at St. Paul's," said Hartman. "Because of their support, our residents never have to worry about what would happen to them if they exhaust their financial resources."
